• If you’re interested in our Go Row Indoor sessions, our GoRow co-ordinator will be in touch with you with details about classes.

• If you are new to rowing, our Learn to Row team will give you further information about our rowing courses.

• If you are an experienced rower, we will invite you to visit the club and meet some of the other members. To find out which squad is the most appropriate for you, we’ll invite you to take part in a couple of trial sessions.  These sessions will also give you the opportunity to decide if the club is for you.

Membership process

If you do decide to become a member, the membership secretary will contact you with all the relevant joining information. This will involve signing up to British Rowing’s ClubHub membership system. If you are already a British Rowing member, all you have to do is login and add Bristol Ariel to your profile.

Membership subscriptions are paid monthly through direct debit. The membership year runs from April to March. If you wish to pay in one lump sum, the treasurer will advise the amount you will need to pay, particularly if you join in the middle of the membership year. Rates are included in the table below.

As well as rowing, members can use the gym, attend additional sessions such as Strength and Conditioning, and are welcome to join in the various social activities that take place during the year.

Everyone who joins will be expected to abide by the club rules and bye-laws which form part of the club welcome pack.

Membership fees

Please see the table below for membership fees for 2021. These fees are reviewed annually. We offer concessions for full-time students, people in receipt of JSA and Seniors. We are committed to ensuring that people are not excluded because of financial hardship.
